Sho Semba is a 32-year Suntory Holdings veteran, who has held key leadership roles in the spirits, beer and wine businesses. Semba was named SVP, Managing Director, Beam Suntory Japan in 2016. During that time, Beam Suntory products have enjoyed market-beating growth in Japan. Semba was named to Beam Suntory’s Executive Leadership Team in 2017. Prior to his leadership roles at Beam Suntory, Semba previously served as Deputy CFO of Suntory Holdings’ Group Strategy Planning Division and as Managing Director and member of the board of Suntory Holdings’ Beer Division from 2011 to 2013. From 2005 to 2010, Semba served as Executive Officer, Senior General Manager within Suntory Liquors’ Business Planning Department. Other roles include Deputy COO, China Division, Senior General manager, Group Strategy Planning Department. Semba joined Suntory Holdings in 1985. He is married, and has two children.
