Deerfield, Ill. – Feb. 15, 2011 – Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. [Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE:FO)], the largest U.S.-based spirits company in the world, today announced Albert Baladi will join the organization as President, Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), effective March 5, 2011.

As President of EMEA, one of the company’s three global regions, Baladi will lead Beam Global’s growth strategy in the region, with all sales, marketing and functional areas reporting to him. Baladi will serve on Beam Global’s executive leadership team and report directly to President & CEO Matt Shattock. Baladi will be based in Madrid.

A proven business leader with a highly diverse background, Baladi has nearly 25 years experience in international business, operations, brand development and marketing for public, world-renowned consumer companies.

Most recently, he led Yum! Restaurants International’s $1.5 billion retail sales business across Australia and New Zealand as managing director, South Pacific. Baladi has also held various general management and senior marketing positions of increasing responsibility at PepsiCo, following various marketing roles at Procter & Gamble.

Baladi holds a preparatory degree from the Ecole Polytechnique Lausanne and received a business degree from HEC Lausanne, both located in Switzerland.
